J. W. Spillers, Superintendent, will close to morrow (Friday) and dosing ex ercises and certificate granting will be held at the Sunday School hour Sunday morning. With Tokyo M. P.'s Army Pfc. Carl Crane, whose wife and parents, Mr. and Mrs Woodrow Crane, living on Acad emy street, recently joined the 720th Military Police Battalion in Tokyo. Private First Class Crane is a patrolman in Company B of the battalion which operates patrols in the world’s third largest city and aids its civil police in cases involving American personel and property. Ravival To Begin Revival services will begin Sunday evening, June 20 at the Elizabeth street Church of God. There will be a different minis ter each evening and special music by the church choir. The pastor, Rev. C. W. Barnes ex tends a cordial invitation to the public to attend the services at 7:30 p. m. munity budding. The rooms were beautifully decorated with spring flowers. Mrs. Clinton West, president. presided over the meeting. The class is studying the book, “The Ministry of Visitation’’. Mrs. Ralph Stewart tcught three chapters of the book. At the close of the meeting the class presented their teacher, Mrs. Joe E. Land, a rosebud corsage and fountain pen ea she was cel ebrating her birthday. Land, with a surprise birthday party on June 9th. This occasion was held in the social hall of the church imme diately following the Wednesday evening prayer service. A color scheme of pink and green predominated. The table waa overlaid with .an. -organdy- cloth over pink.. An arangement of pink gladiola and fern flank ed with crystal holders with lighted tapers and a birthday cake completed the table decora- 44 lions. The revival will be held in the Laurens Mill Ball beginning on Monday evening, June 21 at 8 o’clock. Calvary Baptist church in cooperation with the revival will run a bus each evening for those who do not have trans portation.
