Lavinia Cooley is teach ing the mission study, “Life and Task of the Church Around the World," at Broad Street Metho dist church in Clinton. The dates are April 20, 22, 27 and 29. The community extends deep est sympathy to the family of Lem Francis. Mr. Francis pass ed away Monday in Laurens. Suriviving him in Joanna are a sister and two brothers, Mrs. E. A. Tinsley, Clyde and R. L Francis. Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Franks were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Reams and Mrs Ida Campbell of Laurens.
