Miss Boxard Honored
One of the loveliest parties of the
Christmas season was for Miss Mil
dred Bozard, bride-elect, at Jaonna
club house last Thur^lay evening.
The hostesses were a group of the
honorees’ co-workers and the party
was in the form of a miscellaneous
shower.
The decorations in the party
rooms were beautiful and in keep
ing with the season. In the foyer
Mrs. John Henry Davenport, Jr.,
presided over the register.
The. entertainment was directed
by Mrs. Louis Murphy and Miss
Ruth Hair The highlight .of the
evening was a game that planned
a week’s schedule for the bride-to-
be. As the latter punctured a bal
loon for each day in the week, she
read expectations of a groom for
a well organized household, with
Sunday bringing a rest from all her
labors and good wishes from her
guest in the form of many attractive
packages. Opening the packages,
Miss Bozard found an assortment of
useful household and personal it
ems, among them many pieces of
china and silver in her chosen pat
terns.
For refreshments, the honoree led
the guests into the service room
where Mrs. Nathan Brazel and Mrs.
James Simpson presided over the
punch bowl and refreshment table.
White and green emphasized the
bridal colors throughout the re
freshment room. The table was cov
ered in a white lace cloth and cen
tered with a silver container hold
ing white gladioli ^nd feathery
