Shields entertained at dinner on Friday evening at their home on Crest- wood Extension when a number of guests were invited. Dinner was served in buffet style from a beautifully appointed table adorned with tall burning tapers and sprays of evergreen. Guests found their places at small prettily appointed tables centered with miniature Christmas trees. Place cards were attached to prettily wrapped gifts. Ev ans, resigned. Miss Taylor gave a demonstra tion on table setting and discussed the different types of china and sil verware. During the social hour Mrs. J. E. Evans and Mrs. B. W.
