Shumate, and other relatives in Camden dur ing the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Snelgrove and children visited Rev. and Mrs. P. A. Duckett and Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Holsonback in Newberry Sun day. Mrs. Paul McLendon and sons will leave Saturday for Kansas where they will reside with her mother for the next six months while Mr. McLendon is serving overseas with the Navy. Mrs. Janie Miller, Mrs. Blanche Stewart and children, and Miss Myrtle Blakely of Laurens, who was visiting Mrs. Stewart, were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Jenkins in Aiken. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Neal and Jim my visited Mrs. Neal’s mother, Mrs. Annie Sherbert, in Enoree Sunday. Mrs. Gregg Rowe and son have been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Sharpton, Sr., for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Mart Satterfield and daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Proffitt and son spent Sunday with Mrs. Satterfield’s mother, Mrs. Florence Irvin in Clearwater. Honors Birthday of Sons Mrs. Calvin Cooper was hostess to a number of children Wednes day morning at the Kindergarten rooms celebrating the fourth birth day of little Jimmy, and the fifth birthday «f Francis. Yellow chrysanthemums were used as decorations. After play ing several nursery games the guests were invited to the refresh ment table where the appointments were in a color scheme of yellow and green.
