Mrs Vernon Trammell, and Mr. Tram mell. Miss Dawn Campbell is spending the remainder of the summer vaca tioning at Windy Hill Beach as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Griffin. Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Trammell and Mr. and Mrs. Houston Trammell and daughter, Nancy, are spending the week with Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Trammell in Richmond, Ind. Charles Kinard, GM3c, of Nor folk, Va., spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B Nor ton. Mrs. Bill Cunningham and daughter, Becky, of Charlotte, N. C. , are spending two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Ox- ner while Mr. Campbell is away at National Guard camp. Misses Rachel Counts and Ann Hawkins of Prosperity, are guests this week of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Amick. D L. McGee has returned home after a week’s visit with Mrs. A. G. Hembree and family in Charlotte, N. C., and with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Crowell in Newell, N. C. Mrs. Van Garrett and son, Mitch ell, of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reid of Whitmire, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reid and daughter, Jane, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hall of Lyman, visited Mr. and Mrs. J D. Word Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Royce Smith and son, Carey, of Ware Shoals, spent Sunday with their mothers, Mrs. J. J. Smith and Mrs. J. H. Seay. Miss Betty Ann Campbell of Co lumbia, and Mr. and Mrs. Law rence Campbell and son, Randy, of Cross Hill, visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe Campbell recently. Miss Shirley Hedspeth is spend ing the week at Camp Fellowship on Lake Greenwood with the 'high school band. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hamrick and daughter spent Sunday in McCor mick with the former’s sister, Mrs. Gary Young and Mr. Young. Miss Pat Smith and Carey Bris- sey of Ware Shoals, visited rela tives and friends here Sunday. Wodward will embark for overseas duty, in the near fu ture. Miss Sylvia Morris of Spartan burg, is the guest this week of Miss Martha Reeder. Miss Sandra Rice is visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Bennett, in Laurens. Mrs. Gus Harris, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. John McAlister, and daughter, Pam, of Whitmire, vis ited Mr. McAlister’s mother in Greenville Sunday. Mrs Doris Burroughs and chil dren spent the week-end in Reids- ville, Ga., with her mother, Mrs. Georgia McLendon. Mrs. Joe Land, accompanied by Miss Sara Huskey of Union, is va cationing in the mountains of North Carolina and will attend the pageant at the Cherokee Indian reservation. With The Sick Friends of Mrs. Dan Dunaway will learn with interest that she underwent an operation Friday at Self Memorial hospital in Green wood and will be a patient there several weeks. Richard Hampton left Tuesday for Spears’ clinic at Denver, Colo., where he will undergo treatment. Enjoy Ice Cream On Monday evening Mrs. John Hedspeth honored her son, Leon, and Larry Fowler with an ice cream supper before they left on Tuesday for induction into the army at Fort Jackson. Pvt. Heds peth and Pvt. Fowler are now tak ing their basic training at Lack- land Air Force Base in San An tonio, Texas. To Give Chicken Supper On Saturday afternoon at 4:00 o’clock members of the Pentecostal Holiness church will begin selling a fried chicken supper at the Com munity building. The proceeds will go to help pay off the indebtedness of the church, the pastor, Rev. J. A.
