Barnes as pastor of the Church of God on Elizabeth street to the com munity. Mr. and Mrs. James Arnold of Moncks Corner, spent several days with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Arnold, the past week. Messrs. Arthur Dunaway and Bobby Meadors have been visiting S-Sgt. and Mrs. James Meadors in New York and visited points of in terest in Canada on their return trip. home. Mrs. Barbery has been a patient at the General hospital. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Ridings were week-end guests of their son, Lew is Ridings, and Mrs. Ridings in Charlotte, N. C., recently. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bigbee and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Bigbee and children visited Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Leonard in Reidville recently. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Selario of De troit, Mich., have returned home after a week’s stay with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Harris. During the week the following were visitors of the Harris family: Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Caldwell, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Caldwell, Mrs. Jack Lanford and daughter, Mrs. Beu lah Middleton and children of Greenville, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Harris of Pelzer. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Carr of Aik en, are visiting Mrs. Carr’s* moth er, Mrs. J. W. Hedspeth, and other relatives. Mrs. Annie Mae Caughman, Mrs. E. B. Norton, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Holtzclaw and son, Sammy, and Mrs. Alice Kinard were called to Prosperity Thursday due to the death of Richard Cook. Mrs. Sadie Mabry of Gaffney, and Mrs. O. S. Bamado of Union, spent Saturday with the former’s daughter, Mrs. Alvin Trammell and Mr. Trammell. Misses Pinky and Jane Wofford and Randy Wofford of Thornwell orphanage, spent several weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Colie Blease re cently. Mr. and Mrs. J. H.
