The wipe-on, wipe-off technique can be used equally well on odd pieces which have had all the orig inal finish removed and on new pieces, fresh from the basement into the wood, hardening fibers and sealing the pores. It is often speci fied by the architects for floors and panelling, and gives a durable fin ish, ready for waxing within three, hours. The finish should be applied freely with a brush or cloth. After it has set a few minutes, the ex cess remaining on the surface is wiped off. For best protection a second coat is applied in the same fashion. Wax may later be rubbed in to produce a rich, low luster. A very enjoyable evening was reported. t , Moves From Community Rev. and Mrs. J. B. Cole and daughter, Elizabeth, moved from the community yesterday to La- France where Rev. Cole takes up the duties as pastor of the Church of God. Rev. Cole has been pastor of the Church of God on Elizabeth street for the past three years and the church has gone forward under his leadership and built a new building with an auditorium with a seating capacity of 300. They have recently completed an educational 1 plant with five Sunday school rooms and a room for the ladies auxiliary and board meetings. It is with regret the community bids Rev. Cole and family goodbye, and wish them Godspeed in their new work. Rev. Cole will be succeeded by Rev. C. W.
