Mrs. Opal McCalister is recuperat ing at her home after undergoing surgery at Hays hospital. We are glad to report Mrs. Roy Trammell has returned home after being a patient the past two weeks at General Hospital in Greenville. Sorry to say Lewis Samples suf fered a broken leg injury recently in a fall. Friends of Harold Meadors will learn with interest he is able to be out after an appendectomy at Hays hospital. Albert Odom of Germany will celebrate his birthday June 11. To Go On Camp Trip The Campfire and Blue Bird girls will participate in Mrs. Lands recital on June 4th. The Blue Birds will sing and the Campfires will pro vide a flag drill in costume. Camp plans have been completed for the annual trip to Camp Buck Horn July 20, 21, 22. A full staff of counselors, including a life guard will accom pany the girls. Reservations should be nude as soon as possible with Mrs. Land or Mrs. Sholar at the community building. They are current sponsors of the Tom Thumb wedding to be giv en the 11th of June. Highest Average Pupils Academy Street school closed Fri day having 81 students with perfect attendance. Aaron Glenn, Pat Lan ford, and Jerry Simmons completed the record for three years straight and Tommy Lanford completed five years.
