April Meeting of ARP Bible Class The April meeting of the Ladies Bible class of the Associate Re formed Presbyterian church was held on Monday evening at the church with Mrs. Hubert Todd and Miss Jane Todd as hostesses. An interesting study on “Three Unnamed Women of the Bible” was presented by Mrs. W. W. Arrington. After the prograpi a salad course was served with punch. Party Compliments Miss Nancy Griffin Miss Nancy Griffin, summer —- bride-elect, wa^ complimented Sat urday afternoon when her cousin, Mrs. Julian Coleman, entertained in her honor with a bridge party. Bouquets of vari-colored roses and a handsome mixed arrange ment of sweetpeas, larkspur and iris adorned the reception and card rooms. Four tables were in play with Miss Griffin making high score, and Mrs. W. Y. Thompson second. The bride-elect was also remem bered with a gift. Kenneth Bakers Give Buffet Supper Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Baker en tertained a few friends on Tuesday evening at their home with a buf fet supper. As a centerpiece for the supper table pink roses were beautifully arranged in silver containers. Else where iris and roses were decor ative and in the music room - red and white roses were used. Covers were laid for the twelve guests at small tables. Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Thompson of Laurens, were out of town guests. Mrs. Preslor Is Feted At Bridge Honoring Mrs. B. C. Mrs. W. G. King, Jr., and Mrs. Jas per Rowland acted as hostesses for the occasion. The May Day motif was cleverly carried out with tables representing May Poles and adorned with sweet- peas and roses. Moorhead of Houston, Texas, was remembered with a guest prize. The hostess’ home was lovely for the occasion with varied floral arrangements, including iris, snap dragons, roses, pansies and Eng lish daisies. Dinner Party For Betrothed Couple Saturday evening Miss Nancy Griffin and James S.
