C., spent several days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Dillard. Mrs. Dennis Sowers spent the past week in Hartsville with her brother, John Allen Dugan, and family. i Mr. and Mrs. F. Brandt spent the week-end in Charleston and visited the gardens. Thomas R. Holland and daughter, Mrs. Lawrence W. Sanford, visit ed their daughter and sister, Mrs. H. T. Smith, and sister, Miss Mary Erwin Smith. Mrs. George M. Abbott left Fri day for her home in Long Island, N. Y., after spending some time with her daughter, Mrs. David S. Cook and family. Miss Norma Jean Miller, student at Winthrop college, is spending the holidays with her parents, Mr and Mrs. O. L. Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Boyd and children were in Spartanburg Fri day to attend the wedding of Miss Margaret Lawrence and Billy Boyd at the First Presbyterian church. Mr. Boyd served as an usher. Miss Clelia Garrison, student at the Woman’s college of the Uni versity of North Carolina, Greens boro, N. C, arrived last night to spend the Blaster holidays-with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. E. K. Gar rison. She has as her guest Miss Grace Gastineau of Lillington, N. C., also a student at the Woman’s college. Mrs. Lykes Henderson and chil dren leave today to join Major Henderson at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio, where they will make their home. Mrs. J. B. Speake and . daughter Louise, were week-end guests of Mrs. J. W. Speake and Mrs. Anne Russell in Spartanburg and at tended the Lawrence-Boyd rites there on Friday evening.
