Swicegood was a former ser geant in Horace’s outfit and was receiving his discharge. Friends of Horace will be interested to know he has been promoted to private first class. Mrs. Hamm celebrated her birthday on March 1st, which was made much happier by this unusual visit. Messrs. Each year every Girl Scout in the United States is asked to contribute a small amount to this fund. The money is used to fur ther International scouting. This year the Girl Scout council is sponsoring a movie matinee for all Girl Scouts. This matinee will be held at the State Theatre in Greenwood, Saturday, March 14 at 10 A. M. As the scouts go into the movie there will be a box into which they may drop their contri bution to the Juliette Lowe Friend ship Fund. - .-*• A group of Joanna scouts will at tend the matinee* and will leave the club house at 9 o’clock on the dot.. Leadership School There were 149 people enrolled in the Leadership School at the Jo anna Baptist church last week, with four churdhes represented in the various conferences.
