College Cooperative Extension
Marketing Specialist, last week to
study the work of the Laurens
Cooperative Breeding Association
as he will have charge of the pro-1
gram in his country upon his re
turn to his native land.

county agent and Rufus Langston,
technician. Dr. Sandoval was shown
through the laboratory and then
made field trips with Mr. Langston
to observe the practical work of
the technician. Dr. Sandoval ex
pressed his appreciation of having
the pleasure of visiting America
and Laurens county.

bulls was $388. Of the 39 bulls, 21
were polled, averaging $498 and the
18 horned bulls averaged $260.
There wdll be a Hereford sale at
Greenwood March 24 of 40 females
and 10 bulls. The show' at 9:00 a.
m and sale at 1:00 p. m.
The Angus purebred bull sale
will be March 16 at 1:00 p. m., at
Condors Stock Yard, Columbia.

National 4-H Club Week
Laurens County 4-H club mem
bers and local leaders are joining
in the observance of the week of
March 7-15 as National 4-H club
week. The theme is: “Working To
gether for World Understanding.”

Laurens County Beef Breeders
Sell Bulls
Nine Laurens county purebred
beef breeders sold 14 of the 55
purebred bulls at the South Caro
lina Hereford Breeders state sale
in Columbia on March 6. These
breeders were G. F. Buford Farms,
Richard Buford, Carroll W. Cope
land. Lawson Bros, Clinton; North
clubs.
National 4-H club week is not set

make its purpose known that the
values unemphasized may be deep
