Mr, and Ms. James Fulmer and Harry Estes visited Mr. Tinkler Sunday and Mrs. Es tes accompanied them home. Mr. 'and Mrs. C. N. Franks and Bob and Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Will ingham visited Charles Franks in Columbia Sunday. Charles is a patient at the Columbia hospital. Little Dickey Cash of Cowpens, spent the week-end with his grandmother, Mrs. J. M. Bozard. His .parents, Mr. and Mrs. IL R - Cash, joined him for the. day on .Sunday. Chief Petty Officer and Mrs. D. W. Hall of Camp Le Jeune, N. C., visited the latter’s mother, Mrs. J. S. Prater, and Mr. Prater Satur day. He attended the Candler School of Theology at Emory Uni versity, Atlanta, Ga. The past October at the church conference in Greenville he was ordained an elder and received full connection with the Methodist church. Mrs. Turner is the former Miss Nedra Bauknight of Newberry. They have two little girls, Kathy Lee, 3 months, and Vickie Elaine, 3 years old. Birth Announcements Corley Mr. and Mrs. Vernon N. Corley of Little Mountain, announce the birth of a son, Robert Wayne, at Joanna hospital on Nov. 6. Mrs. Corley will be remembered as Miss Betty Ann Humphries of Jo anna. Lewis Mr. and Mrs. Otis J. This is a benefit dance and the public is invited. Admission will be $1.50 per couple. Revival Announcement The Pentecostal Holiness church will sponsor a series of revival services beginning December 3, and running through the 7th. Rev. J. B. Hutchinson of South Boston, Va., will be the guest speaker, and the public is cordially invited to make plans to attend. Services begin each evening at 7 o’clock. With Our Sick at Little Dianne Prater is back school after a week of illness. Friends of Miss Ellie Farr will regret she was suddenly called home Sunday night due to a train accident to her father. Mrs. Jenny Hazel is confined to her home with flu. Friends will regret to learn Mrs. Stella Tucker suffered a broken in a fall at the plant last week. James Evans is suffeing from a hand injury eceived while at work in spinning room No. 1. Mr. Ev ans lost joints on two fingers. Dismissed from Joanna hospital on Monday following several days of illness were Mrs. Nora Atkins of Cross Hill, Billy Matthews and G. L. Brown. On November 5th Mrs. Bessie' Oakley underwent surgery at Jo anna hospital. Mrs. Jeanette Welchel under went surgeary on Nov. 4th at the local hospital. She was dismiss ed and is recuperating at her home on the Whitmire highway. Heffschel I^awson of Clinton, w'as a patient at Joanna hospital last week folowing surgery. Friends of Mrs. Margaret Rus sell will regret to learn she un derwent surgery on ^Tuesday at Joanna hospital.
