Pastor Begins 6th Year
Rev. J. W. Spillers began his 6th:
year as pastor of Calvary Bap- i
tist church on Nov. 1. The church;
has gone forward under his lead-1
ership with 270 members added to
the roll during these 6 years by
baptism and letter. The Sunday
school and training union have
grown in numbers also. The goal
of 300 in Sunday school was met
the 4th Sunday in October and
there were 107 in training union.
The church has also built a new
educational building with 18 Sun
day school rooms, 2 assembly
rooms, nursery, pastor's study, so
cial hall and equipped kitchen.
The debt on the building is small.
The congregation feels that under
the leadership of Mr. Spillers it
will continue to go forward and
expand in its work.
