Young People Enjoy Meeting The young people of the BTU of Calvary Baptist church enjoyed a monthly associational get-together with Lucas Avenue church in Lau rens Devotionals and talks were given under the leadership of Mrs. Grange Cothran, after which games were played and hot dogs served. Meeting Postponed There will be no youth night meeting this week because of the painting and sanding of floors, but be making plans to attend the Hal lowe’en carnival at the Community buliding on Saturday, Nov. 1. The carnival will be open to ages 8-12 at 6 o’clock, and 8 o’clock for those from 13 up. There will ’be fun, spooks, thrills and chills for all- ♦ _ Girls To Go On Hike The Camp Fire Girls in Mrs. Brevard Patterson’s and Mrs. Mike Sholar’s groups will go on a hike this afternoon at 8:30. The girls will meet at the Community house for the occasion and will be ac companied by Mrs. Sholar. • ♦ - ■ Chorus To Meet The Male chorus will meet Mon day night from 7:30 to 8:30. The Girls’ chorus will meet on Tuesday night 7:00 to 8:00. Hobby Club To Meet The Hobby club will meet at 7:30 on Thursday and continue work in shell craft and begin work on aluminum. Some of the mem bers are working on waste baskets which jye decorated with copper tooling.
