Mrs. Lydia Warren of Baton Rouge, La., is spending several weeks with her daughter and son- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ott Thomas, and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Daven port. S-Sgt. and Mrs. Robert L. Mob ley and children of San Antonio, Texas, spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Harmon. Mr. and Mrs. James Arnold of Moncks Comer, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Ar nold. Dad Arnold returned home' with them for a visit. Miss Betty Ann pampbell, stu dent nurse at Columbia hospital, spent the week-end with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. Louie Webb and children were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Webb and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fowler in Augusta, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith, of Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. John Stadalsky and son of Laurens, Leon Cunningham of Spartanburg, Mrs. Bessie Queen, Mrs. Elloree Cunningham and Pat were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Cun ningham Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Dunaway and children of Jacksonville, Fla, have returned home after several weeks visit with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dunaway and other relatives. Cpl. Lloyd Ellison of Fort Mon mouth, N. J.. has received a dis charge from the army and is now at home on Washington street. Kelly received his dis charge from the army on Friday at Bolling Field, Washington, D. C. Rev. and Mrs. C. P. Cole and daughter, Elizabeth will be attend ing the International conference of the Church of God in Indianapolis, Ind., for ten days. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Whitsel, Mr. _ and Mrs. Ralph Allen of Hull, Ga., j were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Whitsel. Mr. and Mrs. Dial Jacks and sons of Greenville, visited the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jacks during the week-end. Sgt. Jack Caughman of Orlan do, Fla., spent several days last week with his mother, Mrs. W. H.| Caughman. Rev. C. P. Cole has been recalled to the Church of God on Elizabeth street as pastor for the next two years. The nevr church year be gins in September. Malcolm Fowler has returned home after spending the summer with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Wilson, in Marietta, Ga. Misses Ophelia and Elaine Fields have returned home after spending several weeks with Their father, George Fields, in Hastings, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fuller and Mrs. B. S. Rawls attended the Guest reunion in Cross Hill Sun day. Mrs. B. S. Rawls has returned home after a several months visit with relatives in Washington, D. C. We welcome Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Rogers into the community from Converse. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Turner and family of Miami, Fla., spent last week with Mrs. Lillie Lawson. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Overstreet of Danville, Va., were called here last week due to the serious illness of the latter’s father, West Gregory. Bardy Campbell received a foot injury while at work Saturday. D. D. Ficklin has returned home after being a patient at Hays hos pital, but is still confined to his home. Mrs. Willie Mae Riley under went surgery at Hays hospital Tuesday. John Cannon of near Clinton, has | returned home after being a pa tient several days at Hays hospital. Mr. Cannon lost three fingers in an acciden while at work. Jeff Campbell is recuperating at th* home of Henry Campbell. West Gregory is a patient at Hays hospital.
