Price, of Clinton, has been awarded the combat infantry man badge while serving with the 25th Infantry division in Korea. Price, an assistant squad leader in Company B of the 27th Infantry reg iment, arrived in Korea last April. Before entering the army in Sep tember, 1951, he was employed at the Clinton Cotton Mills. Hallman and daughter, Kitty Lu, formerly of Watertown, Mass., will be inter ested to know they are making their home here while awaiting overseas orders to join Capt. Hall man near Verdun, France. Miss Alice Thompson of Whit mire, spent the week-end with her sister, Mrs. Fred Whitlock, and Mr. Whitlock. Miss Thompson and Mrs. Whitlock were visitors in Greenville on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Knox and children left Tuesday for a week’s trip to Norfolk and Virginia Beach, Va., where they will be guests of friends and visit with her sister in Washington, D. C. Friends of Capt. W. B. Wade, who has been stationed at College Station, Texas, will be interested to know he has received a dis charge and has resumed his posi tion with the Southern Bell Tele phone company in Charlotte, N. C. Mrs. L. G. Gordon and son, Law rence, Jr., of Winston-Salem, N. C., spent last week with her sister, Mrs. W. R. Turner, and family. , Mrs. Norman Black of York, is visiting her son and daughter-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Black. Harris, are spending Jf ugg i st of Greenwood died last the week at Highlands, N. C. Thursday afternoon at his home following a serious illness of one year. Mr. Bennett was born March 17, 1907, in Clinton, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bennett. He attended Clinton high school and graduated from the Atlanta College of Pharmacy. After graduating he worked in Atlanta and Cross Hill before moving to Greenwood in 1939. A. Wilmot Shealy and Jiurrell Allen are attending summer school at the University of South Caro lina.
