The choirs will be under the direc tion of Miss Mary Elizabeth Fow ler with Mrs. Carson Nabors as organist and Miss Dorothy Carr as, pianist. Rev. James B. Mitchell will be the reader. Soloists for the service will be Miss Eleanor Blumberg and Mrs. Frances Ruth Crawford. Night;” "It Came Upon the Mid night Clear;” "Joy to the World.” Dedication Service Cross Hill Church Largely Attended Cl < X £ h o A large congregation, including many former members and visitors, was present Sunday morning for the dedicatory service of the new Cross Hill Baptsit church of which the Rev. Ware Madden, Jr., is pas tor. j 3C A number of former pastors took U part on the program. The Rev. Guy q Martin of Spartanburg, read the Scripture and offered prayer. Dr. E. V. Hudson of Cramerton, N. C., preached the dedicatory sermon, and the Rev. John G. Wilson led the prayer of dedication. Mrs. Niles Clark of Waterloo, sang a solo. The pastor read a list of all mem orial furnishings in the building. Flowers for the service were placed ia the . auditorium by the Dial and Martin families in memory of Con way Dial, who served for many years as an officer of the church and Sunday school, and for the Rev. J. A. Martin who was pastor for 12 years. The new structure consisting of the church and educational build ing w'as built and furnished at a cost of $50,000 to replace the build ing destroyed by fire in 1948. Miss Patrick Passes In Lancaster, Funeral Rites Here Funeral ries for Miss Julia Pat rick of Lancaster, will be held at Rosemont cemetery at 2 o’clock this afternoon (Thursday). Miss Pat rick passed suddenly Tuesday night at her home in Lancaster. Fun eral services were held there at; Shiloh Associate Reformed Presby terian church at 10 o’clock this morning. Miss Patrick, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Patrick, is a former resident of this city. She taught for a number of years in the schools of the state. Survivors include two sisters, Miss Ida Patrick and Mrs. A. B. Robinson of Lancaster, a brother, W. F. Patrick of Greenville, and a number of nieces and nephews. M^s. C. E. Nichols of this city is a niece of Miss Patrick. P. C. Refreshments and gifts featured both events. The younger age group, entertained at the baby cot tage, were treated to a glimpse of Santa Claus as portrayed by one of the students. Sigma Nu held its party in the fraternity rooms and sponsored a narration of the Christ mas story. Campfire Girls Name . Omitted In Parade In an account of the Santa Claus parede in The Chronicle last week, the name of the Campfire Girls was omitted due to incomplete infor mation furnished the paper. Mem bers of that organization in their pretty uniforms marched, with the other groups in the parade and The Chronicle is glad to so state.
