The evening prayer was given by Mrs. Ed Hunnicutt. The president, Mrs. E. J. Willingham, welcomed each one present and introduced our school superintend ent, Grover N. Foy, who in turn introduced the faculty, which was guests of the club. One new mem ber, Mrs. Annie Armstrong, of the Joanna hospital staff, was wel comed. During the social hour the pro gram chairman, Mrs. Lavinia Cool ey, presented a skit entitled, ‘‘The Rehearsal." Those taking part were Mesdames James C. Humphrey announce the marriage of their daughter, Mary Dale, to Eugene Thornwell Shouse. The wedding was performed by the Presbyte rian minister at the parsonage in Conway on August 1. Shouse of Whitmire, and a student at Clemson college. Far the present, while' Mr. Shouse is in school, Mrs. Shouse will make her home with her par ents on Pickens street.
