Billy Osborne was admitted for
an appendectomy on August 30.
John M. Ross is at home after
spending several days at the hos
pital for treatment.

local hospital.
Miss Gosnell Honored
Last Thursday evening Miss
Clara Gosnell, young bride-elect,
was complimented with a miscel-
aneous shower at Joanna club by a
group of friends.
Throughout the club rooms artis
tic arrangements of mixed summer
flowers were used. The entertain
ment was led by Miss Lillie Mae
Franklin.
Miss Gosnell’s chair of honor was
overlaid in white. She wore a pas
tel plaid summer dress and was
presented a corsage of white car
nations by the hostesses. After an
hour of fun refreshments of ice
cream, cake and iced drinks were
served.
The honoree was showered with
lovely gifts which were opened and
passed.
