Friends will be sorry to hear that Mr. Foster's brother, J. A. Foster, and Charles Foster are seriously ill. Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Harmon and children of Johnston, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cannon this week. Friends of Mrs. E. C. Heaton will be sorry to hear of the death of her brother in Easley. Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Samples and sons, and Mrs. Betty Whitman vis ited Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Giles in Woodruff and C. C. Giles recently. Mr. and Mrs. Otis Graham and children visited in Saluda and Newberry Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Wallenzine and sons visited Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Woman's Club Meets The Woman’s club held its regu lar meeting Tuesday at the com munity house at 7:30. In the absence of the president, Mrs. J. V. Lowe, the vice-presi dent, Mrs. Roy Trammell, called the meeting to order and conduct ed a business session which in cluded plans for another year. After the business session the club was invited to see some of the work the Arts and Crafts class is doing. Mrs. J. L. Arnold. Mrs. Joe E. Land and Mrs. Tom Norris served refreshments. Hobby Class Much enthusiasm is being shown in the Arts and Crafts class taught each Tuesday evening at the com-j munity house from 6 to 9 o’clock. This class of instruction will fin ish their course on Sept. 11. The courses will be continued as long as the proper interest, is shown, and new members are invited.
