Seay and family and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Trammell of Lydia, attended the funeral of Charlie Pulley Tuesday in Foun tain Inn. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Watkins spent Sunday with Mrs. Mattie Stockman. Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Dunaway, Catherine and Mrs. Betty Lawson attended the homecoming at Put nam Baptist church Sunday. Rev. John Holland was a busi ness visitor in Greenville Wednes day. Harold Lawson and Rev. John Holland took a group .of junior boys of Bailey Memorial church to Mineral Springs to enjoy a water melon feast Tuesday afternoon. Alvin Whitmire entered Hays hospital recently for a tonsilec- tomy. Members of Bailey Memorial church are sorry to hear of the death of the brother of Miss Maud Felder of Bowman. Miss Felder assisted in the Bible school re cently and made many friends while here. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Windsor and Windsor and son, Ronnie, and Mrs. O. C. Derrick have recently returned from a motor trip to Cali fornia. They visited DC1 Charles Windsor, DC1 and Mrs. Carl Wind sor and children in San Diego and SFC and Mrs. Edgar Brazel and children at Fort Ord. They also visited in Hollywood, San Fran cisco, Santa Barbara and Yosemite National Park. Enroute home they visited in New Mexico and Texas. Cecil Young of 'Lebanon, Mo., visited a few days recently with his sisters, Mrs. C. W. Windsor and Mrs. H. L. Foster. Mrs. V. R. Boozer and son, Virgil, of Atlanta, Ga., spent the day re cently with Mrs. C. W. Windsor and Mrs. H. L. Foster. Mrs. Boozer remained for a longer visit. Mrs. C. A. Smith and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Mac McKenzie and children of Gastonia, N. C., visited Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey Turner Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Trift of Lydia also visited the Turners Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Phillips and Hobert Phillips visited relatives in Bee Log, N. C., over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Wallenzine and Margaret, Mrs. Vashti Ledford and Mrs. Daisy Heatherly visited Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mobley in Whit mire Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. R. L.
