Relatives from Laurens, Joanna, Maryland, Forest City, N. C., and Clinton attended the reunion. Mrs. Ella Adair, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Robb of Hyattsville, Md., D. R. Duckett of Chesnee, left Tues day for Little Rock, Ark., to spend some time with the former’s broth er, Arthur Duckett. Mr. Duckett is also a brother of Jesse Duckett. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Austin and children and Pvt. Harold Austin visited Mrs. Pauline Lawson Sun day. Pvt. Austin is home on a 3- day leave. Mrs. Henry Abercrombie, Leon, and granddaughter, Mary Eliza beth, and Sam Elders attended a birthday dinner near Pelzer at the home of Ervin Campbell in honor .of Mrs. Lillie Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Roach and children of Westminster, visited Mr. and Mrs. Howard Roach and friends here Saturday. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Todd recently were Mrs. Floree Thrash er, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Harper and family, and Curtis Henderson of Greenwood. M. r For Guy Leaman At Cross Mill Funeral services for Guy Nance Leaman of Mount Vernon, Va., and former resident of Cross Hill, were held from the graveside in Liberty Springs Presbyterian church in Mr. Leaman died July 28 in M^ Vernon where he had made his home the past twelve years and was enagaged in construction work. He was a member of the Liberty- Springs Presbyterian church. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Bigie Bryson Leaman; two sisters, Miss Agnes Leaman, both of Cross Hill, and Miss Marie Leaman of Washington, D. C.; two brothers.
