Sunday they motored to Hendersonville, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Kirby and family visited relatives and friends in Newberry Sunday. Mrs. T. W. Stewart, Miss Mar gie Baker of Lancaster, are con ducting revival services at the Clinton Mill Church of God on Sloan Street and staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grover Kirby. Party Honors Mrs. Abercrombie A lovely party was given Fri day night at the home of Mrs. Henry Abercrombie on Pine street in honor of Mrs. Billy Abercrom bie. Games and contests were giv en and refreshments served. Hobby Club Meeting The Hobby club met Monday night in the community center for its regular weekly meeting. A con tinuation of projects in progress were made ana a study of wooden- ware introduced. A new line of gifts will be mdae for the rest of the summer. Three new members were enrolled and everyone is in vited to meet with the club each Monday night. Woman's Club Holds Maet The Woman’s club held its sum mer family picnic at Mineral Springs last Thursday night. Mrs. E. C. Burdette, president, presid ed and welcomed the group as guests of the club. After a boun tiful supper a short business meet ing was held. Plans were made for the pre-school clinic the club sponsors eacfi year. The group enjoyed skating and bowling dur ing the evening.
