Wallace of Gray Court, Rt. 1, and Gary Gibbs, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Gibbs of Laurens, Rt. 3, bave started quail raising prospects. The young quail were given the bovs by Game Warden Garvin B. O’Dell, who has charge of hatching and distributing the birds for restock ing the wildlife of the county. Cur tis has 38 and Gary has 36 young birds. Mr. Cannon explained that the club boys are given the young quail pro vided they return 50 per cent of the live birds at the age of seven weeks to Mr. O’Dell and that kept by the boys are turned loose on their farms for restbeking. He said that under no condition can Picnic Enjoyed At Park A community-wide picnic was held Friday night at the Greenwood state park. The recreation bus left the community center at 6 o’clock in the evening and the group gathered together and the picnic supper by the water’s edge was enjoyed. After supper games were played and a community sing was held with all the guests taking part. Streamlined Type Money Orders At Post Office A streamlined postal money order system more convenient for both cus-1 term rs and the Post Office Depart ment, went into effect at the local; post office last week. Instead of the familiar blue paper money order forms, local patron* were greeted at the money order window with a check-type form which can be cashed in any post office or hank in the United States within a year's time. Formerly, money orders could be cashed at all post offices with a 30- da> period, but only at the issuing! office after that time.
