Miss Gail Morse is spending sev-j eral weeks in Murfreesboro, and 1 Laverne, Tenn., with her uncles, Cecil and L. W. Little. Miss Betty Douglas Ross of Greenville, is spending several weeks with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Ross aid family. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Holsonback of Newberry, visited the latter’s sister, Mrs. C. R. O’Dell, and Mr. O’Dell recently. Miss Ann Bragg spent the week end in. Clinton with her grand mother, Mrs. J. T. Lawrence. Prof, and Mrs. Pete Loving, Dr. and Mrs. Bob Plott of Covington, 1 Va., spent a few days visiting par ents of the latter, while enroute to Miami, Fla. Miss Doris Abrams and Mrs. J. J. Abrams are spending the week at Lake Junaluska, N. C. . Mr. and Mrs. Sloan Rowland and little Cherry Goodlin spent the week-end in Athens, Ga., with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Weinberg. Joyce and Douglas Stevens of Seneca, are spending three weeks with their aunt, Mrs. Frances Giles. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Bishop and sons visited Mr. and Mrs. V. S. Pierce in Charlotte, N. C., Satur day. Misses Jackis and Dale Hunni- cutt were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rhodes in Laurens. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hunnicutt and Ed Hunnicutt attended the state singing convention in Greenville Sunday. Mrs. D. C. Arthur of Newberry, visited Mrs. Annie Gunter Sunday. Birth Announcement Jenkins Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Jenkins announce the birth of a daughter, Martha Susan, at Hays hospital in Clinton June 7. Mrs. Jenkins will be remembered as Miss Clara Tarmer. ^ Chicken Supper Saturday For Parsonage Fund A chicken barbecue supper will be given at the Joanna club house Saturday afternoon beginning at 5 o’clock. Plates will bo $1.25 for adults and 65c for children. Tick ets are now on sale by members of the young adults class. Messrs. Jack Hunnicutt, and J. L. Abrams will have charge of the barbecue and Mrs. J. M. Ross is chairman of the kitchen committee. For those unable to attend plates can be sent •out. The proceeds from the supper will go to the new Methodist par sonage under construction. The public is cordially invited. Pastors Exchange Pulpits Rev.
