May Day Festival Be Held May 1 The annual May Day Festival of Lydia Mills community will be held May 1 at 5 o’clock in the afternoon. The athletic field will be trans formed into a nursery scene as Mother Goos (Betty Lou Parrish), plays hostess at a party for all the story-book people. The highlight of the program will be the crown ing of the May Queen (Carolyn Roof) and her escort, the King of Hearts (Dale Sellers). Cornelia Roberts will attend the Quen as maid of honor. Th Old Woman in the Shoe (Ruby Hughes), Peter, the Pumpkin Eater (Russell Trammell), his wife (Betty Davis), Mary, Quite Contrary (Ellen Mae Sloan) will tend her garden of flowers, and will all form the background for Humpty Dumpty (WjQter Fuller), the dances in honor of the Queen.
