Mrs. Lois Webb Dand family vis ited Mrs. Betty Webb in Joanna Sunday. Hamp Ballard and children of ue West, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ballard. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Sumerel and Mrs. Sybil Dobbins visited Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Dobbins in Cross Anchor during the week-end. Miss Lounette Poole of Rock Hill, was the week-end guest of Mr. and patient at Hays hospital for several days. Club Board Meets On Tuesday afternoon the execu tive board of the Woman’s club met in the library of the community center. Mrs. Burdette presided and plans were made to donate an | amount of money to the 12th grade for the fund they are raising for j their Washington trip. Recom- : mendations were made to present : to the next club meeting. Miss Mary Johnson, program director,! gave her plans for the recreation part of the program. Campfire Girls Meet The Aowakiyas of Campfire Girls met on Thursday afternoon in the community center. Patsy Fuller, president, presided. Mrs. Sumerel and Mrs. Wallace led the discussion of home honors and each girl made her report of her progress. Satur day was set as the beginning of the group in participating in the Na tional Campfire Girls cookie week. Refreshments were served by Barbara Jo Todd and Elaine Crock er. Last Thursday Joyce Queen pre sented as a climax of her home hon ors, an afteroon tea party. The guests were invited into the lounge paper laid the approach of the highlights of the program.
