Woman’s Society Meets The Woman’s Missionary Union of the Baptist church will meet Tues-| day, August 5, at 7:30 o’clock at the church. Mrs. James Mitchell will be in charge of the program. A social hour will follow. Ladies of Epworth Church Will Meet The Woman’s Society of Christian Service will gather in the assembly room of the church for their Sep-' 11ember meeting on September 5 at 7 o’clock. Mrs. James Simpson will 1 present the program. The hostesses are Mesdames Algie and J. L. Ab rams and Homer Jacks. Quarterly Conference To Meet Quarterly conference will be held at Epworth church Sunday night ;at 7:30. Rev. M. B. Patrick of Green wood, district superintendent, will preside. This is the conference in which the church officers for the new year will be elected for Sharon. Hopewell and Epworth churches. Birthday Party Enjoyed Last Saturday afternoon Mrs Marvin Humphries entertained with a party honoring her small son, Mike, on his <th birthday Twenty-two lit tle friends were invited. His basic training has prepared him for entrance into air force tech nical trainhig and for assignment in specialized work. Hospital News Friends of Mrs. Annie Armstrong will be glad to know she is back at work after being hospitalized for sev eral days. Bud O'Dell has returned home and is recuperating favorably. Mrs. Bill Thomas is recuperating at her home following an operation. Fred Tinsley underwent an appen dectomy at Joanna hospital this W6€k.
