Holland went to Dunns Cha pel Southern Methodist church near Columbia to attend a district Epworth League meeting. The main feature of the program was the showing of a picture depicting the work of mis sionaries in the county of Africa and th e things they have to contend with while preaching the Gospel in all foreign lands. The Epworth League of Bailey Memorial tied with the St. Paul’s Southern Methodist church of Leesville for the banner in having the highest number present. On next Sunday, July 31st„ after a short session the Sunday School of Bailey Memorial will send members to Morris Chapel at Pomaria, to at- end the Third Quarterly conference of the Clinton-Morris Chapel charge for this church year. A basket din ner will be served. As has been the case at all these conferences reports for both churches will be given. Consequently, on account of the trip to Pomaria, there will be no morning worship service next Sun day and it will be decided at Sunday school whether the Epworth League meeting and evening worship service will be held.
