To Mrs. Ross’ surprise she was me| by her children and their families and a planned celebration in honor of her recent birthday. Baby Joseph Crawford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alec Crawford, is a patient, at the local hospitaL Mrs. Bobby Thomas is recuperating at her home on Sumter street. * Birthday Party Little Jackie Hunnicutt was host ess to 20 little friends o nMonday afternoon honoring her fifth birth day. The little folk played outdoor games for an hour. Jackie led the way into the dining room where her! mother, Mrs. Jack Hunnicutt, served' cake, ice cream, and salted nuts. i The table was covered with a pink cover and overlaid with a lace cloth. The white calie with pink decorations 1 and pink lighted candles was used as the centerpiece. As Jackie opened her gifts she passed them among the guests. Birthday Dinner On his '69th birthday the family of C. A. Dickey gathered at his home to wish him many happy returns. Among the good wishes were many gifts and a huge decorated pink, white and green cake. Those pres ent from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Charlie B. Dickey, Mrs. Leila Turner of Greenville; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bedenbaugh and girls, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Cromer and daughter of Newberry; Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Liv ingston and daughter of Prosperity. Society Meets May 2 It is announced that due to the re vival beginning May 8, the WSCS will meet Tuesday, May 2 at 7 o’clock at the church. The hostesses will be Mrs. Ed Hunnicutt, Mrs. Floyd Ab rams and Mrs. B. C. Flow. The new officers for the coming year will be elected. ( MYF Banquet The Methodist Youth Fellowship group had a spring banquet Satur day, April 22, at Joanna club. A spring motif was used in the decorations.
