Little Flo Emory celebrated her birthday March 10. members visited Charlestoh as a phase of their club work. The party left Clinton Saturday morning, vis iting Columbia, the Edisto gardens, in Orangeburg, several private gardens in Summerville, and made a tour of the Magnolia garden in Charleston. After visiti'ng in the city the group enjoyed the visit to the Charleston Museum, the Pink House, the Old Slave Mart, Hampton park, and a trip to the Isle of Palms by way of Fort Moultrie. Sunday the group visited Folly Beach, a walk down the Battery, a View , of St. Michaels and SL Phillips churches. The group of seventeen m<ujrbers with Mrs. Wal lace as sponsor, and Mr. Thomas as driver of the bus, enjoyed the two-; day trip to this old -historic city a*nd were much mpressed by the beauty ! of the gardens.
