Woman's Club Meets The Woman’s club met on Monday, Feb. 28, at the social hall of Bailey MemoriaLMethodist church with the president, Mrs. J. L. Arnold, presid ing. Scripture reading was by Mrs. Grady Arnold. During the business session a trip to Charleston was set for March 4. Plans were made for. the opening of the community house. The speaker for the evening was Calvin Cooper, ahtletic director, who made an interesting talk on athletics. Entertainment for tlie evening was a mock trial with the judge and jury trying people, with Mrs. -J. V. Lowe and Mrs. lone Wallace, direct ing the court. Society Names Officers Bailey Memorial Methodist Mis sionary society met March 6, in the home of Mrs. Mina Sullivan as hos tess, assisted by her daughter Mrs. Eland Harris. The meeting was called to order by the president . The devotions were given by Mrs. Harvey Berry. The business of the meeting was dispatched, and the roll called by secretary. Each member responded with a verse of scripture using the word "Thanks.” Officers for the year were elected. President, Mrs. John Holland; vice- presidest, Mrs. Marvin Stewart; sec retary, Mrs. Marcelle Barker; and treasurer, Mrs. Dan Dunaway. Plans were discussed for the State Missionary meeting which will be held with our church April 5, for all day session. All members of the church are asked to make plans now to attend. The meeting adjourned after thanking Mrs. Sullivan for the refreshments. The April meeting will be held in the home of Mrs. Ellbree Cunningham. Speaks To Men’s Group Rev. John H.
