Your home or place of business (and con tents) may burn tonight. Is your fire insurance big enough to enable you to start to re build and refurnish or restock tomorrow ? Hubert Boyd, Agent Chairman Wysor Again Appeals For Heart Campaign Col. R. E. Wysor. chairman of the 1950 Heart Campaign now underway in the county, makes another appeal for the drive; “There is hardly one of us who has not suffered loss within our family or circle of close friends through heart disease. This dread disease, which counts among its victims 7,- 500,000 Americans of all ages and results in more deaths than the next j five leading causes combined, is a constant menace to our happiness, ‘to jour own future. ' t i “Heart disease is everybody's pro- :blem—not just the other fellow’s, of the government’s, or the doctor’s. And the only way the problem can: jbe solved, absolutely the only way,; is for everyone to recognize his per- j sonal responsibility and h:s personal j interest in the solution. “For this reason I am asking you, for an extra contribution to thc fund raisiag campaign now underway, a contribution over and above the co ins you may already have dropped in the plastic heart-shaped collect ors you’ve seen around towg. “The quota of Laurens county is $4,000 during this drive, which is part of the $6,000,000 goal of the Am erican Heart Association with which J we are affiliated. Seventy per cent of local donations will remain here i for public education and community service projects. A very great por tion of the national share will,-go for scientific research. “The causes of heart disease are still largely unknown. It is hoped that research projects now’ under way and to be instituted in 1950 can ! add substantially to our store of knowledge and that soon real head- I way will be made in defining pre- iventive and curative measures. ! “If you can afford that .‘extra' contribution we ask for, won't you please drop it jn the mail to R. J UST realize one thing, good madam, good sir —as you pilot your Buiek down the highway past the parade of lesser ears, you're the secret envy of most other drivers. So you owe it to this admiring audience to keep that wonderful Hoick of yours purring at its proudest — gliding over the roughest roads like a car on a cloud, with never a squeak — lively, long-striding, and staying that way longer! And one of the easiest ways to do that is to wheel into our shop once a month —ask the man for our Lubkicare — and here’s what will happen: One of our trained Bukk mechanics will lubricate your car as the factory engineers specify —covering many points never touched elsewhere. While he goes over your Buiek, he gives you an extra service only a Bukk man can render. He inspects the entire car with a trained Buiek eye— making sure you get lubrication p/us Buiek care. When you get your bill, you’ll find a won derful surprise—our luiRiCARE costs no more than a routine grease job” but, man 'alive, what a difference it makes! r LAURENS MOTOR COMPANY Zarick Street Laurens, S.
