Midgie Whitlock Celebrates Birthday Midgie Whitlock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Whitlock, celebrat ed her tenth birthday last Thurs day last Thursday, May 26, with- a party given by her mother at their home on Shands street. Two tables were prettily appoint ed and a dessert course was served before cards. High score award was won by Mrs. Robert F. Black. A variety of garden flowers and bowls of roses made a pretty back ground for the gathering. Dinner Party Compliments Miss Johnson, Bride-elect Complimenting Miss Esther John son and James E. Cobb who will be married in June, a lovely dinner party was given on Thursday ev ening by Mrs. J. H. Van Hollen and Mrs. Francis Blalock at the Lydia Community house. Bouquets fashioned of daisies, larkspur and roses attractively de corated the spacious club rooms.
