Later the hostess es served a salad plate and punch. Ex Libris Club Holds Meeting The Ex Libris club met Tuesday of the past week at the home of Mrs. George R. Blalock. For the occasion roses and nastur- shums decorated the hostess's home. Current events were discussed and ternoon cheese biscuits, sandwiches And candies were served. Friends Give Dunlaps Housewarming Friday evening a group of friends surprised Mr. and Mrs. Thornwell Dunlap with a housewarming visit, at which time they were presented a number of gifts for their new home near the city. Sandwiches and cold drinks were served during the evening by the unexpected guests. ■■■! Century Club Meets With Mrs. Macdonald Members of the Centiiry club met on Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. M. A. Macdonald. Mrs. R. E. Wysor who had arranged the afternoon’s program on "South ern Cooking” gave recipes and showed a number of old cook books. Colonel Wysor was present and told how to prepare a number of dishes famous in various sections of the south. The next meeting will be held Tues day, January 6. Mary Jane Jacobs Celebrates Birthday day cake centering the dining tabic. Pink candles in crystal holders were used at either end and overhead pas tel balloons were suspended from the chandelier.
