Franklin, of Goldville, spent Wednesday in Charleston. Mr. Franklin remained as a patient in the naval hospital. Mrs. Frank Jones of Greenville, spent several days recently with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hallowe'en Social Members of the Junior Training Union of Calvary Baptist church were entertained wiith a Hallowe'en party! in the basement of the church on last Thursday afternoon. AJter a treasure hunt several games and' contests the host esses consisting of Mrs. Harris, Mrs. C. W. Windsor, and Mrs. Charles Windsor, served refreshments. On Thursday Mrs. D. C. Gregory gave a Hallowe'en party at the church for the junior department. Twenty-two were present and en joyed the games and contests. Prizes were awarded.
