Lad Badly Hurt In Bicycle Mishap ' —^— -Raymond DeYoung, ten year old son of Harold DeYoung, suffered a serious leg injury Tuesday afternoon when .his bicycle and an automobile driven by Charles Griffin collided on East Carolina avenue. It is under- j stool that the lad was crossing thej railroad to enter the main highway, when he ran in fr<?nt of the car and was knocked down. The car was re ported as moving at a slow speed. The boy was taken to Hays hospital! and soon thereafter removed to a; Columbia hospital and placed under the care of a bqn^ .specialist. He was reported yesterday as rest ing comfortably and the hope ex pressed that it will not be necessary to amputate his leg, as first thought.
