NORRIS Jacobs Building Phone 10t Forestry Comp Open To Interested Laurens County Boys- Columbia, July 3—^(Special to The Chronicle).— All “Laurens county boys interested in attending the sec ond annual boys forestry camp were urged this week by Assistant State Forester J. R. Tiller to write to the Laurens county ranger, J. Shaw Madden, by July 15. Tiller stated that to date the response from boys ■in the state had been only fair, and that the forestry commission is anx- ibus to have one boy from each county attend the camp. There is no charge for attending the camp, and transportation to and from the camp is furnished free by the for estry commission. • The boy writing the best letter to Ranger Madden stating why he would like to attend the camp, will be selected to go from Laurens cdun- ty. ’The assistant state forester stat ed that by next year the commission hopes to have enlarged the camp so that at least three boys from each county can attend. The camp Will be held at Camp Juniper, CHfcraw State Park, from July 28 through August 2. The boys will be taught fire' control 1 , forest management,-and other related sub jects, in addition to their recreational activities.
