Lovelace-McCarthy f On Sunday afternoon, June 29, Miss Willena Lovelace of Goldville, and Greenwood, became the bride of John Jackson McCarthy of Ninety- Six. Rev. H. F. Bouknight, pastor of the bride, officiated, using the. double ring ceremony. The bride chose for her weddihg a lovely powder blue suit with white and navy accessories. Her corsage was of white carnations. Mrs. McCarthy, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Lovelace, of Gold ville, is a graduate of Clinton high school and Greenwood College of Commerce. Me- McCarthy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Toyce McCarthy of Ninety-Six, re ceived his education at the Ninety- Six high school. He is at present employed by the Buzzard Roost pow er plant. After a wedding trip to the moun tains of North Carolina, the young couple will- be at home to their friends in Greenwood. Missionary Society To Meet The Woman’s Society of Christian Service will meet Tuesday evening at building up public patronage and es- \ tablishing favorable reputations. The new hotel will meet a real community need as a center for so cial and civic activities. There are many clubs and other organizations that will constantly use its facilities. Small conventions, depending always on adequate hotel accommodatiqns, can be secured and are always valu able advertisements to a city.
