FINAL SETTLEMENT
Take notice*that on the 8th day~of
July, 1947, I will render a final ac
count of my acts 1 and doings as Guar
dian of the estate of George Pringle
Copeland in the office of the Judge
of Probate of Laurens County, at 10
o'clock A. M., and on the same day
wjjl apply for a final discharge ’from
my trust as Guardian.
Any person indebted to said estate
is notified and required to make pay
ment on or before that date; and all
persons having claims against said
estate will present them on or before
said date, duly proven, or be forever
barred.

78 were in Laurens county. Of the
1,565 deaths from kidney* diseases
in the state, 34 were in Laurens
county. Twenty-two persons in the
county died last year from cancer.
The total number of deaths caused
by cancer in the state was 1,316.
Accidental deaths in the county
totaled 29. In the state fatal acci
dents numbered 1,460.
Of the 129 suicides in the state,

Of the 194 homicides in the state
during the past year, none were re
ported in the county.

To Hold Bible School
A daily vacation Bible school will
be held at Bailey Memorial Metho-
djst church beginning Monday, June
23, and continuing through Friday,
June 27.. Classes will be held from
9:30 to 11 a. m.
Children between the ’'ages of 3
and 14 are invited to attend.
Epworth Group Meets
The Young people of the Epworth
League of district No. 3 of the South
Carolina conference held their June
meeting at Bailey Memorial church
Saturday. The Maple Street church
of Columbia gave a very interesting
program. A business session was
held, presided over by the president
of the district, John Henry Price ot
Columbia. A social hour was enjoy
ed in the recreation hall with re
freshments served by the local
league.
Vacation Bible School Closes

held at Calvary Baptist church June
9-13 came to a close Friday evening
I with a picnic on the church grounds.
