The wed ding date will be announced later. Officers of W. S. C. S. Meet The executive committee of the Woman’s Society .of Christian Ser vice met last Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. J. M. Ross. The president opened the meeting with prayer. The work for the year was discussed and plans made to en-j large the society. A number of tho*i ladiei plan to attend the district meeting to be held in Anderson on March 27. The group enjoyed a social hour afler the business program at which time Mrs. Ross served refreshments Mission Study Course A mission study course sponsored by the Woman’s Missionary society of the Baptist church will be held March 30, 31 and April 1 and 2. Each service will be held bV a dif ferent missionary with two mission aries for the March 30 meeting, one for the morning worship and one tor the evening service. Mrs. Calvin Poag is a patient at Duke hospital in Durham, N. C., where she is undergoing traetment. Mrs. Bertha Stroud is a patient at Duke hospital, Durham, N. C. She is to undergo a serious operation this week. Prognun To Feature Candlelight Service Plans for the first community proj ect sponsored by the churches in cooperation with the Joanna Found ation are now complete. A committee composed of Mrs. W. A. Moorhead of the Baptist church, Walter Fulmer of the Metho dist church, Lester Smith of the Holi ness church and Miss Virginia Bolt of the Presbyterian church, met with the executive director last week and are now carrying on rehearsals in the various church choirs and school glee club. The program, to be staged in the park at 8 o’clock Easter Sunday, will be j.n the form of a “Rededication Service,” featuring the combined choirs and school glee club. v The various churches will carry bn their " special programs at the morning services including cantatas and, Easter anthems. The pastors have urged that every citizen of Goldville attend the church of his choice on Easter morning and then gather together in the park at 8:00 p.m. for the community service.
