Father and Son Banquet The Boy Scouts of troop No., 75, sponsored by the Methodist church, With their fathers enjoyed a ban quet at the church on Saturday dVening. ‘ £ * The speakers were Messrs. J. B. Hart, Rev. H. F. Bauknight and Vernon Garner. • During the evening awards for achievement in scout work were pre sented to George Walter Fulmer, Jack Wright and Jimmy Stewart. The children enjoyed various games under the direction of Mrs. Vernon Garner.* Miss Effie Godfrey, and Mrs. Fred Ross assisted in the serving of ice cream, cake and fruit. Those enjoying this happy occas ion were Larry Gamer, Fredna Rsos,- Brenda O’Dell, Sandy Templeton, Dianne Prater, Linda Abrams, Dick ey Trotter and Jo Ann Perrault^ The little host received many at tractive gifts. Officers ask that all members make a special ef fort to attend. Mrs. Abrams Showered Mrs. Rhett Abrams, recent bride, was guest of honor on Monday eve ning ait a miscellaneous shower giv en by a group of friends. . The guest of -honor was lovely in a soft gray wool dress. The hostesses presented her with a corsage of pink carnations.
