At Home On Leave

resident of this city, arrived last
week from Key Field, Meridian,
Miss., on terminal leave to join his
wife and two children at their home
in Laurens. *
Capt. Dunlap left Clinton in Feb
ruary, 1941, as an officer of the local
National- Guard unit and is now com
pleting more than four and ohe-half
years service. He expects to receive
his final discharge early in January.

Notice for Payment of
City Taxes
Notice is hereby given that Town Taxes for the Town
of Clinton will be dtie and collectable up to December
15th for the year 1945. The Tax Books wilfite bpen for
the collection of taxes at the office of the Town Clerk
on ayd after October 15th, and will remain open up to
and through December 15th.
A penalty of five (5%) per cent will be added on all
taxes not paid by this date, and an additional ten (10%)
per cent shall be added if said taxes and penalties are
not paid on or before the 31st day of December, 1945.
The levy for current fiscal year is 37 mills; 12 mills
for current operating expenses, and 25 mills for inter
est and sinking fund on various Bond Issues outstand
ing.
