OWENS received his separation papers last week and was formally discharged from the service after more than four and a half years of service. Lt. Owens entered the service with the local National Guard unit at Camp Stewart, Ga., in February, 1941, later being trans ferred to the transportation corps. He served overseas in the Pacific theater for nearly two years.
