Simpson Passes .^Lunsford L. Simpson, 61, well known citizen and merchant at Lydia Mills, died at his home early Monday morning after a brief illness. , Funeral services were held yes terday afternoon (Wednesday) at 3 o’clock from the Lydia Presbyterian church, with Rev. L. W. Brown, of Goldville, officiating. Interment fol lowed in the Shady Grove cemetery. Mr. Simpson was a native of this county and had spent his entire life in the county. He was a son of the late Thomas P. and Cornelia Ramage Simpson. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ora Dickert Simpson; three daugh ters, Mrs. M. E. Berry, of Greer, Mrs. W. C. Crews, of Charlotte, N. C., Mrs. W. P. White of Goldville; two sons, F. L. Simpson of Atlanta, Ga., Cpl. G. S. Simpson of the army overseas; two sisters, Mrs. B. A. Hol- way and Mrs. J. M.
