BARNES, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Barnes, is in training at State College, Miss. . B. C. Walker Phone 101 A very congenial group of young Clinton women were seen out walk ing and rolling their babies the other day, and an observer commented on the similarity of the situation. All five of their husbands are in for eign service, each has a young son, and all the children with the exception of one are named for their fathers. The group was com posed of MRS. CHARLES E. RAY- NAL (Laetitia Jones), MRS. JAMES BARBOUR (Beverly Davis), MRS. ALLEN McSWEEN (Bebe Dillard), MRS. EDWARD SLIER (Millie Whit-. ten), and MRS. KEITH FLEISCH- 1 MAN (Betty Spratt). Mrs. Suer’s son, Edward Whitten, is the only one who does not have his father’s full name. MRS. NENE D. WORKMAN and MRS. W. J. DUNCAN of this city, and MRS. ELLISOR ADAMS of Newberry, attended a memorial ser vice held recently at Clemson col lege honoring 78 former Clemson students who have lost their lives or are listed “missing in action.” The former’s son, Lt Duncan Workmen, was among those honored.
