OF THIS CITY, HEADS SMOKE CAMP IN AFRICA J He Started Nazi African Rout u Under an Allied Headquarters, North Africa, dateline, Ernie Pyle, special correspondent to The Green ville News, wrote an article for Sun day’s paper headed “Captain Todd, of Clinton, Smoke Man.” The officer referred to was Capt. J. Paul Todd, son of Mrs. Irene Todd, of this city, and the late Clyde Todd. Before entering the service Capt a town late one afternoon, and were told by a bored billeting clerk that there was no place in town for us to stop and that’s that.
