DEFENSE GROUP SEEKS TO PUSH FOUNDRY WORK ' I • A conference to discuss steps to make equipment and workers of iron and foundry plants in South Caro lina more readily available for the war production program was held here Tuesday at the office of Dr, Wil liam P. Jacobs/chairman of the state council of defense. Twenty-one representatives of iron and foundry plants attended. Plans for obtaining prime and sub contracts were considered. D. X.
